Structures and Buildings
SCIP has extensive experience in structural engineering design and analysis. Using the latest computerised design applications, SCIP provides optimised solutions within budget and on time.
We are able to facilitate accurate bidding and quoting by supplying highly detailed drawings and design specifications. These also ensure that the construction phase runs smoothly. Irrespective of the size of the project, special attention is given to the coordination between all disciplines involved. HOUSING AND HUMAN SETTLEMENTS

The Freedom Charter. In 2005 the Government estimated the housing backlog to be at 2,4-million households. Serious delays in affordable housing projects have prompted the Government to consider implementing drastic changes to the laws governing housing delivery, with the aim of removing certain identified bottle-necks.

INFRASTRUCTURE FOR THE MEAT INDUSTRY
SCIP Engineering Group in association with van Vliet de Wet and Partners, offer mechanical, structural and civil consulting engineering services specializing in abattoirs, meat processing facilities and allied projects. The Senior Engineers of the firm have for the last 40 years been intimately involved in the design and supervision during construction of plants and equipment for the meat industry. Their experience covers all aspects of abattoir and meat processing facilities, both locally and internationally.
The Senior Engineers were responsible for the planning and supervision work during construction of many new abattoirs. These abattoirs range in size from the small rural facilities to some of the largest abattoirs in the country. A number of these abattoirs have been designed to comply with the stringent European Union export standards. They also include the design of slaughter facilities complying with Halaal and Kosher ritual requirements. The firm also has extensive experience in up-grading existing plants to improve throughput and to optimise the use of existing facilities.
The partners have been involved in more than 90 abattoirs and meat processing facilities.
